Here are all the consonants you have learned so far, grouped by class:

  • High Class (Red): ห, ส
  • Mid Class (Purple): ก, ต, อ, ป, ด, จ
  • Low Class (Blue): น, ม, ร, พ, ช, ท, ว

Reviewing the Rising Tone

Just like with ห from the last chapter, the name of the new high-class consonant ส also demonstrates the rising tone. Listen to the first part of its name, สอ (`sǎaw`). It has the same rising tone.
