A Special Word: ก็ (kɔ̂ɔ)
This is a very common word that means “also” or “then”. It uses a special symbol, ◌็, which we can call a “vowel modifier”.
This is the first word we have learned with a Falling Tone (a sharp high-to-low drop in pitch) and our first word with a short duration vowel sound. While other words use the ◌็ modifier, ก็ is unique. It is so common that it is best to learn it as a special case for now.
